the Bourges Cathedral a remarkable

Its floor plan without a transept,
five vesselled nave, deep choir
and large ambulatory form an interior
space of unique reach and scope.

• Medieval Quarter
The visit of the cathedral is followed
by a walk through the medieval quarter,
in the "Hôte Lalllemant", a fine example
of the early French Renaissance style.

• The Palace of Jacques-Cœur
Finished in about 1450, the architecture
of Jacques Coeur’s mansion
defies classification, both borrowing from
the feudal stronghold and a forerunner
of the urban mansion which was to emerge in France during the Renaissance.
